THE CODE MADE ME ABSENT FOR THE CLASS
-
Hello! I was about to log in to the company's website when a verification code interrupted the process. I entered the code provided, but it kept showing as invalid. I was only able to access the website after I removed a letter from the code! I'm really frustrated right now. I hope there is an instruction that specifies only numbers should be entered, not letters. I don't plan to use my free pass because of this issue. I was already absent yesterday due to getting stuck in traffic, and now this. I have a video of me trying my best to log in to the website. Can someone help me? I won’t be using my free pass.

@Reynald I have never in over three years been given any kind of code to log in ? Is this something new ?
-
Yes I had a code 3 or 4 days in a row, just enter the numbers. There is something that looks like a letter but I couldnt make out the letter.
-
@Stewart-3 I am glad I read about this ! I have never had one ! At least I know what to do if I see one !
-
This is the code. My mistake is that I kept on writing the letters before the number, which kept me unable to getting in. Only numbers should be added, not distorted lines that resemble letters. I was trying to enter the classroom seven minutes before the class started. However, my classes for today and tomorrow have now been removed.
I was simply waiting for the time to enter the website. In fact, I was awake an hour before the class and even previewed the lesson. I kept checking the website to confirm whether I had a class and double-checked the time carefully. Despite this, this situation still happened to me.

I am not going to use my free pass for this.

Are you using a Mac? We have automatic CAPTCHA verification :)

@Stewart-5 No ma'am, I am using HP.

Sorry to see this caused you to miss a class, Reynald.
The procedure for dealing with something like this would be to go through the appeal process - you have a video which will be useful.
If the appeal is denied, please feel free to come back to one of the TPRs.

I completely understand your frustration here as it has happened to me many times, too when in a rush to get in. My brain simply can't compute that it is not a letter. I think this makes us more human, not less human! Human brains all work differently.

@Siobhan-1 Are you using a saved password? Maybe you won't get it again with a saved password.

I'm a bit confused. You said "I was simply waiting for the time to enter the website." Do you not log onto the TutorABC platform until it's time to teach or were you waiting to enter the classroom/session and it kicked out to the login page? Because you don't have to wait until you're about to teach to log onto TutorABC. I'm already logged in, have done my device test, and am all set up to hit 'start' and my first class isn't for 1.5 hours. (I happened to wake up early this morning and since work is the first thing on my list to do today I always set up as soon as I get up. Then I do other things. That way I have the peace of mind of knowing everything is ready and working.)

Have you not done any CAPTCHAs elsewhere before? The following picture shows ten different ones generated by the TutorABC login page:
I don't understand why you would mistake them as combinations of letters and numbers.
In addition, the reason why the CAPTCHA verification appears is because you login in to and out of the site too many times in a short period of time, preventing, the system deems, potential malicious attacks, so to speak.
On top of that, the constant moral of the story is still that please don't wait for the final moments to login in to the site. You never know what issues you may have. This is why we have a ten-minute buffer. Time management is essential to this line of wok.

@Lisa-264 It happens when you log in multiple times... For example, bcs I need to check my schedule constantly in case a green dot turns yellow... From my phone, ofc... I will get the code after some time. No big deal. 🙂
However, it was all much much easier with the app.

I've had to enter verification codes at times to login to the site - it doesn't happen that often. @Reynald I didn't know this: "only numbers should be entered, not distorted lines that resemble letters". It's a shame you missed your class as a result of this - hope you get it sorted.
-
@Masooda It happens when you login too many times in a short period of time, as mentioned by @Chien-Hao and @Eva-G above.
-
@Melissa-7 I do the same as you. I wake up at 4:30 am, 1 hour before my first of 6 classes in a row before my 3-4 hour break. I turn on my computer, log in, quickly look through my morning (TW's evening) classes. However, I never do a device check. Maybe a couple times a year I am forced to do one.
-
@Mina-0 @Masooda @Reynald I have my p/w saved on all my devices as well. I know what CAPTCHAs are, but in all my years here, I've never had to enter them for TABC. @Reynald Thanks for sharing. I will now be aware of this.
-
@Reynald I have had a code plenty of time and yes it can take some extra time to enter the platform. It's annoying. I see only 5 digits in the code however you have entered 8. That could be the problem? I see r4234

@Stewart-3 no no Mac ! Acer Aspire Lite Core !
