Contract Renewals
-
Would be nice if the company kept its promise. Everybody here who was working a year ago took the hit and all the nonsense that came about, with the promise to revise things at the end of the year.
It's unfortunate that we keep getting paid proportionally a lot less than inflation is taking away from our wallets.

I have worked at 5 different online companies and this is my favourite. The management is friendly genuinely helpful and available, everything happens on one website, and you can expect to get at least three lessons a day (Believe me this is a big blessing) I have taught on online sites where you wait for months for a lesson. I am well aware we will never be paid handsomely compared to other careers but we have a happy environment here with some real opportunities. If you work hard and keep a regular schedule you can get better lessons that pay more. That IS significant. The whole world is underpaid at the moment. I am looking forward to getting my contract. Thank you TutorABC!

I know it's still early days, but has anyone received a new one yet?
-
@Nemanja-0 Nope. It’ll probably be sometime later this week.
-
@Nemanja-0 they will come. The company will not blind side anyone.
-
@Nemanja-0 bit early still as they just got back today and as you can imagine they are swamped with other things too.
-
No, I understand it's a bit early. I was just wondering if they're going to do it in batches. Not concerned yet. :)
-
@Eva-G I'm just counting on getting that longer contract. I'm always nervous around this time and second guess myself on some things I'm doing wrong etc. Hopefully by the end of the week, the contract renewals will come as promised date-wise!
-
@Matthew-A a date was posted, but I'm useless with the search function! I think it said 'from the 22nd onwards'
-
@Deborah-0 at the top of the page - between the 19th to 22nd of February (good memory) we were told.
-
@Darragh-5 they have stated the contracts will be for 1 year. Why second guess yourself? I do not know you from a bar of soap but I see you are active here and seem like you have common sense (Not many people have this anymore). In my opinion, the company want to keep people like yourself, reliable, get the job done, make them some money. If the contracts didn't come on time, I am not going to be worried. Remember last year, contracts changed, were late as well. (From memory, but mine is getting bad).
-
@Gemma-56 Sorry to say, as far as we are aware, not at this time.
-
Has anyone received a contract yet? Thanks.
-
@Dushianthi No.
-
I have not yet received my renewed contract but I have classes in March. Should I take this as a good sign? I should not stress but of course I will until I see the new contract. My electric went out for a full morning yesterday and than my heating went out and a part needed to be replaced so, stressed , yes I am. Yesterday was the perfect storm. Fortunately I was able to cancel all green dots and hoped my afternoon classes, the electric would be on, which it did. Deep breath. 😜
-
I may be mistaken, but if I recall correctly, whenever they were letting someone go, that person would typically be notified a bit earlier that their contract wouldn't be extended, right? Or am I making this up?
-
I read in the contract that they must send a letter stating 7 days before
-
@Nemanja-0 You are correct.
-
@JASON-212 Thank you Jason! That means lot! :)
-
@Nemanja-0 An important point to remember at this time. Thank you for bringing that to all of our attention.
