New Prestigious Taiwanese School Project

@Matthew-A If we want to do more than one slot should we fill in multiple surveys? Many thanks in advance.
-
-
@Matthew-A Awesome thanks very much I have submitted my availability.
-
I am usually booked at these times anyway with my regulars but I am always happy to help where needed.
But is it possible to have more information about the type of classes and class size please.Thank you
-
Have they already been doing a few of these the past couple of weeks? I feel like I've had a few already...4 kids... all in the same classroom. @Matthew-A
-
@Kristine-32 They do have some cram schools style classes with 1-4 kids already (I had one this morning). This project I believe will be a step up from those in a number of ways.
-
@Matthew-A these will not be scheduled to teachers who do not complete the survey, right? I have no interest in these classes at all.
-
@JASON-212 At this point, I wouldn't have thought so. They are looking for committed teachers rather than a new teacher for the student each week.
What puts you off?
-
@Matthew-A the pay, I will make less than I do for 2 x 25 minute classes. They are 1v1. These will be 4 students, right?
-
@Matthew-A if I had the choice I would not teach any 1 v 4 classes for kids.
-
@Matthew-A 在 New Prestigious Taiwanese School Project 中說:
Your usual Reg 25 or Reg 45 pay depending on class length (both are possible, I'm told).
@Emma-257 @JASON-212
I will try to get a bit more info on this. I get the impression this will compare to the private school students we have been teaching in Hong Kong (who are amazing).

Yes, please. Teacher Galia already signed up for this before knowing the student number and the kind of lessons there will be to teach...

We've heard back that they have enough teachers for this project now. All the teachers on the project should have now received a further email with more information. So, we'll let you communicate with those running the project via email with any additional questions that may arise rather than back and forth on here.
Thanks, everyone.

@Matthew-A
Interesting.
I've been scheduled for these classes, although I didn't express interest, nor did I fill out the survey. It's not a problem, I'm just wondering why.I'm usually very busy with juniors [1-on-1] at these times, and I hope these classes don't get in the way.
-
@Robert-296 I believe the invitation/announcement was to get a few more teachers. Have you had an email about it?
-
@Matthew-A
I did receive an email from Steven yesterday, not personally, it was a mailing list email.But as I said before, I didn't respond nor did I fill out the survey at any time. That's because I didn't want anything in the way of my regular weekend students scheduling me, and these projects tend to do exactly that, historically.
-
Got it.
To answer your Q, I think it will come back to the fact that TABC can schedule any type of class at any time; the only caveat is that some teachers don't teach JR sessions.
-
@Matthew-A Maybe they didn't have enough responses to the survey, and filled in with other teachers like myself.
It's not an issue right now, I'll roll with it and see what happens.
-
@Robert-296 me too ! Did not sign up but have been given them already but haven't had any emails with more information.
-
@Robert-296 I did the survey cake and requested a couple of hours. I didn't receive any email. I think it is because my HK classes are scheduled at those times that they were requesting.
Have these new classes been scheduled for Saturday already? What did the email say? What kind of lesson plan will you be teaching and how long are the lessons?
