Marked as a no show for standby 45 min class
-
Hey everyone, please could you help me. I was put on for a stand-by 45 session (first time ever) and I was waiting in front of my computer from 19:20 and at 19:32 the screen changed from "to be updated" to "switched" -due to absence. But if there was no classroom link to click on, how was I marked absent? Someone please explain where I can have this absence removed from my record because I was waiting for the link, refreshing my session page and it kept saying "to be updated". Thanks in advance.

@Caitlin-82 I hope you took screen shots, they are important. Maybe @Heather-B, @Jennifer-M, @Sophia-M, @Matthew-A, @Marko-I can help.
-
@JASON-212 I didn't even think to do that, and it literally changed so quickly I wouldn't have had the chance to. I blinked and suddenly I was switched. I have no idea what happened and I have sent an email to the help desk. Hopefully someone will be able to sort this matter.

@Caitlin-82 Did you receive a Telegram notification?
-
@Marko-I before I could even open it I was marked as "switched". I wasn't on my phone (for obvious reasons) and the notifications from Telegram on my desktop are ridiculously slow to come through. But there was less than a minute between getting the notification and being switched. I have never been on standby before and assumed they would have a link pop up as I was refreshing MSP over and over :/

@Caitlin-82 First, you will get another message (10min into the slot), and that is if you can teach the rest of your classes. Answer YES if you can. You are still on Standby, and you may get another Standby invitation. I advise Standby teacher to have a Telegram notification on their desktop computers.
I don't know how you will prove it without the screenshots but try to appeal it and explain. Telegram screenshot with 1 min difference between messages would be helpful.

Thank you, I was unaware of all of this and unfortunately could not enter into my following sessions.

@Caitlin-82 So sorry to hear that. All the info I have provided is also written in the Standby training. Regarding your removed lessons, nothing can be done. For tomorrow you may try and ask the Help Center to reopen your slots so you may have some classes assigned again.

It might be helpful to install an add-on to Chrome that automatically refreshes your screen. I use "Easy Auto Refresh".

@Betty Thank you! Will do so immediately!
