Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing great!I'm posting here because it's been over a week since I last received any regular classes. I reached out to the Help Center, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any response yet.
After reading through the community forum, I saw that many teachers recommend completing more course trainings to improve visibility, especially during the summer. So I took the initiative and finished multiple trainings — including Speak Now, Juniors, IELTS, TOEIC, and Standby. I also contacted the support team to request the related tags, but the only reply I got was the automated message about performance and interview being key.
So far, I’ve only taught 5 regular lessons, and 2 of those were student no-shows. My rating is still 10/10, and the feedback I received from students has been really encouraging.
I’m confident in my ability to deliver quality lessons — based on both my past teaching experience and the training I’ve completed here — but I feel like I haven’t had a real chance yet to prove myself on the platform.
Has anyone else experienced something similar in the beginning? Do you have any tips for getting more visibility or unlocking more teaching opportunities? I’d really appreciate any advice!

Its summer vacation now in Taiwan, if you can teach in the mornings Taiwan time, you can open your hours and maybe pick up some classes at these times.

@Lamyaa what is your location ? This may have a lot to do with it as it is according to time zones and peak hours.

@Lamyaa compare your time zone with the BJT time zone and then make sure you are open on the dark green slots which is peak hours!

Hang in there! It's slow for everyone right now. Students just finished exams and started their summer vacation. I'm getting cancelations too. Look at "My Weekly Schedule" and make sure you open slots that are in high demand (dark green) for your time zone. Best of luck 💕

@Lamyaa Hey, Lamyaa. As others have suggested, try to add more of those dark green slots and be consistent. If you add the same time slots you have a better chance of getting sessions, especially when you get some regular students. @Lamyaa Hi. Some of those trainings you have done are for lessons that are taught by invitation only. If the current team is full, then you won't get invited to teach them, regardless of experience.
That said, do as much training as you can, as it will be noticed.
PS - the algorithm works on the colour of your socks last harvest moon, together with the name of your neighbours' aunts' yoga teacher's goldfish !! :)

I completely understand now, and I’ll keep focusing on doing as much training as I can. Hopefully when the stars (and the goldfish) align, a space might open up!
