    When do I receive payments?

    Please remember that the date each teacher receives their payment in their account depends on their banking institution. TutorABC’s Payroll Department sends out payments on the 10th of each month or the following business day if the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday.


    How do I cancel a class(es)?

    How the cancellation system works:

    • The system cancels in 30-minute blocks.
    • When you cancel, you need to cover the whole time you're unavailable — not just the classes.

    Example:
    Let’s say you're unavailable from 15:30 to 17:30, and you want to cancel two classes at 15:30 and 16:30.
    To cancel this correctly, you should set:

    • First booking: 15:30
    • Last booking: 17:00

    (This covers 15:30–17:30.)

    Don't do this!!:

    If you set:

    • First booking: 15:30
    • Last booking: 16:30

    Then the system will only cancel from 15:30 to 17:00, which is not enough — you can still be scheduled a class from 17:00–17:30.


    What is the penalty for an absence?

    1. You will receive an absence on your attendance record. (Absences remain on your record for 6 months)
    2. You will receive a payroll deduction of one (1) standard base rate (check your Service Agreement to see how much that would be for you).

    How do I recall a session cancellation request?

    You can only cancel a cancellation request up to 4 hours before the first time slot that was canceled.

    For example, if you made a cancellation for 16:30, you have until 12:30 to cancel your cancellation request.

    If it's less than 4 hours before the scheduled start of your cancellation request, or if you've canceled classes for an extended period (such as two weeks) and you're currently within that time off, you'll need to contact the Help Center. A team member will need to manually remove the cancellation request for you.


    Why isn’t my payment reflected on the payroll page?

    Please remember that the payroll page only updates three times a day:

    • 00:00
    • 08:00
    • 15:00

    At the beginning of the month, while pay is being calculated, the payroll page may take a little longer to update. Don’t worry—your pay details will appear once the updates are complete, usually within 24 hours.
